Hmm, out of curiosity ... how many times have you waited all that time for to wonder why you bothered? That's me 9 times out of 10 when using Apo. 
I'd say 9 time out of 10 too. I always think 
"maybe if I render it at 2000 quality it'll look awesome" but usually it's just as bad as if I rendered it at 200
